White girlfriend, 31, of 'lynched' 17-year-old Lennon Lacy says she believes their relationship led to his murder - and reveals she was warned not to date a black man

Forget the race, what about the age?  Now it may have been wrong for the white supremacists to allegedly kill this teenager, but the truth is, this grown woman had no business being in a relationship with a teen boy.  According to dailymail.co.uk, the she became involved with the teen after she moved to the small town following the breakdown of her marriage earlier this year. Why was this boy fooling around with this grown woman in the first place?  Where was this boy's parents when their relationship was going on?  You see, if we would go back to morals and values in this country, there would not be so much trouble.  We don't care if this was a white boy, she had no business in a relationship with him.   All we can say is, it's very sad.

Allegedly, Bill De Blasio Admits His Son Needs To Be Careful Around Cops

Well this is the first, we are hearing a white person married to a black person speak out about racism.  Mayor Bill De Blasio allegedly says he and his wife have spoke with their son about being careful around cops, because it's different for a white child.  We must say, it's about time, we hear a parent of a what some would call, 'bi-racial' child teach him who he actually is.  In our opinion, we have heard enough of many of them deny their blackness, but so sorry it's taking racism in America to wake a lot of people up.  Not saying that De Blasio didn't already teach his child, we are just surprised to read about it.  It sort of reminds us of Hollywood actress, Halle Berry suddenly coming out with a part II of, 'Good Hair', after her children's father straightened and dyed their hair, which was a recent court case, allegedly.

According to HuffingtonPost.com, De Blasio explained after the non-indictment of Eric Garner that he and his wife "had to literally train" their son Dante how to handle encounters with police -- an experience shared by the parents of other African-American children around the country. The head of the city's police union said de Blasio's statement "threw cops under the bus."

We will give you further updates on De Blasio and his son when we receive it. God bless.

Relatives Say Goodbye to farewell to Akai Gurley, man fatally shot by NYPD rookie

Okay, we had to fight off tears on this one.  Many of you black women know what it like to grow up without your father.  A little girl says goodbye to her father who was shot by a rookie cop in a NY public housing complex.  This is so sad to see and all we can say is, 'here is another young black girl who is going to grow up in America without a father to help her mother raise her.' It can be very difficult to discover your identity as a black woman without a father figure.  Many times, our race often focuses on black men without a father, but believe us, it is very hard for black women too.

One of the main reasons why many of us black women search for love in the wrong places is simply, because a lot of us never had fathers to raise us.

After all of these black men getting killed by police officers, what is it going to take to get our black race to unite, love and respect each other?  What is it going to take for black men and black women to seek God and totally submit to His will and His way?  What is it going to take for our race to stop hating being black?  Because this is a cycle that has never came to an end. It's a shame, it seems like all the average black person cares about it being accepted by whites and other races while our race is yet dying.

In the meantime, our prayers go out to Akai Gurley's family and little girl.  God bless them all.

Message to Dangerous Black Men; Chicago Man Reportedly Attacks Woman Who Refused to Give Him Her Phone Number

Now, before Souls of Black Women speak to the souls of our brothers, we are not talking to all of you.  For we realize not all black men are bad, just like not all of us black women are bad.  However, we must ask you dangerous black men who are constantly breaking the law this one question; how can we stand behind you whenever you face racial discrimination, if you are being evil? This guy in Chicago, Denzel Rosson, allegedly attacked a woman just because she would not give him her phone number.  Are some of you that insecure, you would do such a thing?

According to TheRoot.com, Denzel Rosson "got the woman in a headlock, punched her in the face, and tried to steal her phone and purse before he ran away."

Some of you black men are not doing right, but a lot of cops are yet killing you.  How are we supposed to get mad whenever the cops kills you who are unarmed, if you are either attacking us black women (we don't know what race this woman was this guy attacked) or just out committing crimes left and right?  It brings too much stress and pressure on us black women and we don't have the strength to continue to cry out for you whenever the cops kills one of you.

Central Park Five seek an additional $52 million after reaching $41 million settlement for wrongful imprisonment in 1989 rape of jogger

We can't say we blame the Central Park Five for seeking an additional $52 million.  It must be very difficult spending time in prison for something you didn't do.   These 5 black men have won victory in a time when many black men are being shot to death by police.

According to nydailynews.com, the individual claims of these black men were reactivated after the deal with the city was approved in Manhattan Federal Court in September.

As strong black women in Christ, our prayers are certainly with these black men and we pray they are very safe with the $41 million they've already been rewarded.  God bless.

Black Texas Teacher Will Lose Her Job After Racist Twitter Rant Tells “Dumb Crackers To Kill Themselves”

This black woman who went on a Twitter rant against whites, tell them to commit suicide and now she has lost her job.  Our question is this, why after so many of our own people have betrayed us and turned against us must we lose our jobs for them?  Yes, racism yet exist, but we don't think standing up for all black people is worth it.   Even many black women hate us, after we plead with them for love and peace.  While we live on earth sisters, we've got to speak up against racism, but not go on a rant and lose our paychecks.  It's not worth it.

According to Rawstory from Bossip,Vinita Hegwood has admitted she made the post on the social media site during an online debate over the police shooting of an unarmed teen in Ferguson, Missouri.  Even after Ferguson, beloved black sisters, we've still got issues of prejudice within our own race, dark skinned blacks don't like dark skin while lightening their complexion, light skinned black people don't like dark skin and dark skin blacks don't like light skin and in between choosing to be light while we are yet dividing and losing our race.  Black women who are dark skinned alone resent other dark skinned women and aimed to destroy them through cruel words and betrayal.   Then, we have a lot of black people killing each other, even in relationships with weapons and evil words.  The ignorance never ceases and making such statements to tell whites to commit suicide will do nothing but make us look like weak folks who don't even have sense enough to love and respect themselves and each other.

In conclusion, we are so divided as a people, there are too many too spiritually blind to see in the 21st century, many black people who chose to kill each other over the years since our release from slavery, is the cause of  cases like Ferguson.  So, tell us, how many jobs can black people give to their own race in the 21st century after speaking out in a militant fashion?  How many black people will take responsibility for killing their own kind and apologize to each other for the lack of love and respect?  How many will repent to God for hating themselves as black people?

Why Are There So Many Down Low Women in The Black Church?

Photo: Creative, Note: This person in this image is fictitious and the image is not connected to the subject of our articles.

Many people don't like to deal with this issue, but we as strong black women in Christ must deal with this ancient problem.  Admit it or not, there have been many black women on the down low as much as black men.   There has been a bias within our race for too long. In order to save our race, we must admit our issues within the black community, black churches and black families, so the Lord will know we mean business with Him.  Yes, many black women fail to admit they have been on the down low and point the total blame on the black man, but it has been very unhealthy for too long.  We want to respect and uplift the black woman, but in reality, too many black women have failed to earn their trophies of dignity.   Therefore, let us deal with the issue of our series, 'The Chronicles of Down Low Black Women' starting here at Souls Of Black Women, 1st Edition.  Note: In case you've missed it, our sister blog dealt with Women on the Down Low at SoulsofBlackWomen.com, 2nd Edition.

The question we first asked you was why are there so many black women in the black church on the down low?   We may have word it differently than our title, but it's all the same.  So, can you answer us?  If you deny it, then you cannot answer the question, but if you accept the truth, then you can be totally honest and answer it.  For too long, many of us descendants within the black race may have buried the truth about down low women in the black church, simply because we are taught to forgive and not ever mention about how our mother's best-friend who was a preacher may have touched us when we were girls.  Or maybe it was the pastor's wife who touched us and made us promise to keep quiet about it, then when we tried to be friends with her kids, she came up with a lie to make us look like a rebellious child to keep us away.  Or-maybe it was the co-pastor who was also the first lady known to be a secret part-time lesbian who made us keep quiet about touching us, so her husband wouldn't find out she did not go back and dabble in her previous lifestyle.  These are the issues that has destroyed the race of black women and these nasty occurrences may have took place back as early as the 1970's or 80's or even before that time.  Therefore, this is the poison that has spread within the spirits of black women and many of them make mockery of the ones who have been honest enough to admit they are lesbians. Regardless, if we are taught it is wrong to be gay, it is very wrong to get your thrills on and violate young girls, teens and lie about your mischievous deeds by keeping the focus off of yourself by gossiping about black women who are not on the down low.  The next question in conclusion comes to mind, how will we get these lost souls saved from homosexuality, if we have never dealt with this issue within the black church?

Of course, we give honor to our (great) grandmothers, mothers, aunts, sisters, first-ladies, women preachers, and best-friends, but let's be honest about it, let's not only unite and pray away this ancient demon, but no longer cover up this lingering problem that have made too many of our sisters bitter.  These are the type of black women who refuse to return to the black church, because they want to remain free from emotional pain, although they have be bound by sin.

Black Women: Why It Is a Sin to Be a Down Low (Lesbian) Woman

down low women

A lot of black women have been confiding with us about their deliverance from lesbianism, but one of the things they say is, the pain of coming out of it is discovering their ex-lovers hiding their relationships. Some of these women say they were hurt by these women, because they hid behind the fact after they helped them raise their children. They also didn't want people to recognize them in public as a couple. They never would hold hands, kiss or hug. Sisters,we truly believe God wants you to be hot or cold, rather than lukewarm as it says in the scripture: Revelations 3:15, 16. Therefore, those of you black women who go on in life as though you never identified with homosexuality, that is a sin. You are living a lie. If you come out of it, testify about it and do not act as though you are better than your ex-lovers, because they never had children or they were more out than you. Furthermore, those of you who are in same sex relationships and you are on the down low as of right now, God don't like liars. You are not only offending your lover, but...Read full article, here.

Mother of 3 Killed in Detroit After Rejecting a Man’s Advances

This young mother of 3,Mary "Unique" Spears was killed by a man at a bar, after rejecting him. She was out with her fiance, but this guy just didn't want to take no for an answer.  This is a very sad story, but sisters, please be very careful whenever you go out to a bar or any other public place. People are crazy and will kill you for being honest about not wanting them.  Even if you are nice, some of these men or even women will retaliate and kill you for rejecting them.    May she rest in peace and we are praying for her children, including the other injured victims who were at the bar.

South Carolina Mother Calls Police After Finding 15-Year-Old Son Watching Porn

This mother from South Carolina must have had enough of her son's rebellion.   Chavonda Gallmon sought help from the police when she caught her son watching pornography on  television in the living room.

Especially, if there is no father in the home, these days you have to turn to the police, because it's very hard raising a black male all by yourself.   Back in the early days when the majority of the black community believed in, biblical scriptures, morals and corporal punishment, we had more control over our kids.  However, the truth is, the more diverse we've become with other cultures and the law has monitored how we discipline our kids, we have no choice, but to turn to police officers to make a visit to our homes when our children rebel.

Proverbs 13:24 says: 'He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.'

First Lady Serita Jakes, We Don't know if white women are looking in the same mirror as black women

Here this good sermon first.  Although we agree with most of what First Lady Serita Jakes said, many of us black women don't see we are the same as other races of women.  We only see God made and loves us, even more than our own kind.

In today's church, we feel too many of us black women have been forgotten about.   We heard a sermon by First Lady Serita Jakes that all women are the same.  However, as black women, we yet hear comments from white women about our color and some of them even brag about their white skin, in the 21st century.   Meanwhile many black men choose them and other races over us and at the same time many white men may sleep with us, but put us down for our dark skin.  It hurts so bad, all we can do is pray, because it seems like the diversity in mega ministries have enforced too many preachers to claim that we are all the same while many black women are yet facing racism from other races of women, white men and even black men.

Some white men who don't mind sleeping with us will impregnate us behind closed doors, but after they're finished, they act as though they never touched us.  Some of us are molested by men in our families while they flaunt their European wives in front of us as though we are peasants.   First Lady Jakes, it hurts us black women to the core.   If you'll only take time to listen to the voices of black women who don't even bother to go to church, because we feel we have been forgotten about by the multi-cultural mega-churches with pastors and first ladies of our own kind of this era.   The dark world of Hollywood that many black churches yearn to be a part of, reveal men like Eddie Murphy and Kanye West who many black men model their lives after while flaunting their European descent women in our faces.   Bishop McClendon is a good example of that with his Hispanic 2nd wife while getting support from the majority of black folks in his congregation.  Many black women are enduring the same pain trying to date a white man who flaunts their white women and other races in our faces, but behind closed doors they don't mind sleeping with us.   These white men who sleep with us behind closed doors tell us that there is no difference in color, but resent touch our natural hair which is wool like Jesus Christ.  Do you care First Lady Jakes?  Do you care that many of us black women are left with our bi-racial babies to raise after that white man leaves us for his white woman?  If we are all the same, why is the white man who promises that there is no difference between him and me ashamed to bring me around his family, in the 21st century?

Now you tell us journalists of Souls of Black Women we are looking at of the same mirror as white, Asian and Hispanic women?   Do you care first lady or is the money from all races at your conferences more important the pain of a black woman?    Do you care first lady that some of us black women are raped by our brothers, not just fathers who preach in the pulpit and our mothers won't listen us and take our confessions to their graves?  After they're gone, we're left to deal with those blood siblings who in some cases became our father figures?

Oh yes, we understand your example of being a coal miners daughter just like the white girls back in the day, but yet still in the 21st century, many of us black women are persecuted by whites and our own kind as though we are trash.  Please don't get it twisted First Lady Jakes, not all of us black women want to hear a white woman like Paula White preach to us, for she tries so very hard to act black while not understanding what it's like to be a hurting black woman. We could go on and on...possibly stay tuned for a part 2, First Lady Jakes.

Celebrity News: Kevin Hart Denies Disrespecting Dark-Skinned Women And Says He Loves Everybody!

We must ask you a few questions about this guy Kevin Hart.  First and foremost, why does he have to admit he loves everybody as though he is not dark and a black man?  You see, this is why racism has gone no where, we still have ignorant black folks who mistreat each other based on shade.  Kevin Hart is one of the most ignorant black comedians we have came across.  Furthermore, if he was being discriminated by a white supremacists because he's black, he'd be the first to complain and want the black community to back him up.  He doesn't have to apologize to beautiful dark skinned women, because white men are taking them and loving their God given beauty.

This is another sign in the 21st century, that the black race is dead, because nothing has changed after AIDS and tragic cases like Trayvon Martin.

Richard Williams, the father of Serena and Venus Williams has written a book about racism they endured in California.  Isn't ironic that this is coming out after the case with ex-owner of LA Clippers, Don Sterling?   In case you didn't know, there are many whites in California, in the North and South who are very racist.  Possibly, Richard's courage to come out with this book can bring much courage to many African Americans there who are afraid of some racist whits in powerful positions there.  Although, Mr. Williams says he will never go back to Indian Wells, that place is not the problem, it's many racist whites all over California.

How Black Women Can Be Saved and Delivered from Lesbianism

Many of you black women who are proud lesbians may disagree, but there are many others who want to be set free from the spirit of lesbianism.  Are you an unhappy lesbian?  Do you want Jesus Christ to set you free?  If so, then you can't miss this articles about how Jesus can set you totally free from homosexuality.   Some of you may still be in a lesbian relationship and you don't know how to escape.  Possibly, your lover or partner pays all or most of the bills, because you don't know how to hold onto a job or even apply for one, because your mother did not teach you how to do so.  Well, SoulsofBlackWomen.com would like to help you, because Jesus came to set the captives free.  Note: If you are a lesbians and you are happy, then please don't read this article, it's not for you.

Many of you who have been lesbians for years and are very miserable, please take heed to these article.  Beloved sisters, Jesus Christ has rules and regulations according to the biblical scriptures at the end of this post and homosexuality is not allowed as a saved woman or man, girl or boy.  You've got to be delivered and set free, if you want to see Jesus, face to face.

Here it is, cry to God and ask Him to save you.   Let him cleanse you as you cry out, 'yes Lord!'   It's not hard and it is never a struggle.  Once you repent, Jesus Christ will certainly set you free.  Get on your knees right now and repent.  However, first, you have got to admit it is wrong to be a lesbian.  You may not get delivered overnight, but deliverance will come.  You must allow God to transform you.

Now, many of you black women may be very jealous of the small percentage of black ladies who are not lesbians and dedicated to their saved man.  Stop being envious and ask God to prepare you for a saved man.   You must stop wanting to have sex with a woman.   It does not matter if you are still with a woman, you can still let her know, you need quiet time to talk to your God.   Then, ask God to give you strength to admit you have been unhappy, especially if you have never been married and helped her raised her child or children.   This is what makes life very hard on many lesbians, they just suppress and never admit it.

Start focusing on Jesus Christ. Read your Bible daily and pray in your quiet time.  Many of you may work long hours, ask God to give you the strength to reserve time to pray.  You must pray for deliverance and accept you've got it.  Don't give up just because you maybe depending on your lesbian lover to survive.  Ask God to give you the knowledge, how to care for yourself, in Jesus name. Amen.  Now, start praising Him for delivering you from being a lesbian. Thank you, Jesus!!!

Dr. Hope, my name is Miya and I had been with my ex-lover for several years. After we broke up, we vowed to remain like sisters, but now she has turned her back on me and I don't know how to forgive her. I spent years helping her raise her child. Now, in my 40's I do have any kids and never been married. I feel like I missed out on a lot in life and never think a man will marry me. I don't blame her, I blame myself, but I do blame her for not wanting to have a friendship with me.

Response: Miya, there are so many black women like you. They thought another woman was going to understand them, but discovered it wasn't so nice after-all. Yes, there are some black men who hurt us very bad, but what a lot of gay people fail to admit, the same sex can hurt you too and sometimes much worse. Miya, if your ex-lover chose to turn her back on you, it was for your own good. You do not need to be connected to someone who already took a lot of...

Black Man Beaten to death, although married to hispanic woman

Many of you are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).  One of the things, many African Americans refuse to admit is that there are still a lot of people trying to pass as though they are not black. Some of these black men and black women always remind us that they are Puerto Rican or Hispanic.  These are the ones who do not cry out racism unless something may happen to them like this man, Luis Rodriguez.  Rodriguez was beaten to death by police officers.

This happens all the time.  And do you know why we cannot get further than these tragic situations?  It's because there are too many black people dying they are black and always trying to pass for something that they are not.  Racism will never end unless more African Americans start excepted who they are.  Now, we are not saying Luis Rodriguez did not accept who he was, but what we are saying is that there are too many men and women who look like him, marrying outside of their race who are treated unfairly because they are black, but at them same time deny they are black and God don't like it.

According to News.9.com, Nair Rodriguez and her daughter Lunahi told News 9 they got into an argument at the Warren Theater around midnight. Nair said she slapped her daughter then stormed away. Her husband, Luis, chased after her. That was when the family said officers confronted Luis Rodriguez and asked to see his identification.

May Louis Rodriguez rest in peace.

Black Women, my husband left me for a white woman after I lost my hair

Black women, Lucille shared her story with us about how her husband leaving her for a white woman.  Lucille thought she had an advantage over the average black woman, because she is bi-racial with light skin, but says now she accepts herself just as a black woman.   She never thought Dave would leave her, because he would place her upon a pedestal whenever they were seen by some black women.   Now, she says she feels really bad and realizes she is not equal to her white mother who does not know how it feels to be black.

Lucille went on to admit she thought she had it easier, but now feels her ex-husband who is a black man has discriminated against her, because he chose to be with a white woman as though she is above her.  Now, she says she is frustrated and does not know how to feel equal to black women, although she no longer sees herself as bi-racial.

Lucille opened up with us about how she found out her husband was cheating on her.  She said after she lost her hair to a bad perm, Dave bein being very distant from her.   Lucille describes her hair as very kinky, but at one time very long.  So, she would regularly put a relaxer in it.  One day, she allowed another beautician to do her hair, since her regular beautician went on a vacation.  Two weeks later, her hair begin falling out, so she cut it all off and sometimes began wearing wigs.  After leaving her job one evening, she wanted to surprise Dave with their favorite food, pizza and spicy wings, but when she opened the bedroom door, she immediately was shocked by this other woman wearing her negligee, sleeping in her bed, next to Dave.   She screamed and began demanding that Dave and the woman get out of the condominium.  Every since, she has not heard from Dave until 2 weeks ago when he came by to get his belongings.   She confronted him, and asked him why he cheated on her, he bluntly admitted he loved her hair, not really in love with her.

Lucille, thanks so much for reading SoulsofBlackWomen.com.  We are very sorry about your hair loss and also very sorry about your husband leaving you.  However, we are so glad you are out of that failed marriage, because you would have never found out how he really felt about you.  Now, you can live your life without someone just being in love with your hair.  You want a man to love you for you, not just your beauty.

As for now accepting yourself just as a black woman, we fully support you and completely understand why you have made this decision.   It really does hurt when some black men leave us for white women, but we could never imagine what it's like for this to happen and your mother is white.  However, do not let this other woman create a wall between you and your mother.  You must still love and respect her, but be honest and tell your mother how you feel and why you chose to no longer claim being bi-racial.  Always remember, no matter how you see yourself, bi-racial or black,  you are still beautiful, because God made you that way and it does not matter if you have long hair or short hair.    Furthermore, Dave is very ignorant, because he does not realize that there are many white women who also lose their hair, because of a bad perm.  What would happen if this other woman loses her hair?  Is he going to leave her too?

Now Lucille, what you said about feeling equal to black women is irrelevant, because we do have a lot of issues among us.  There are many black women who don't feel equal among themselves, because they refuse to unite.  So, if you are going to identify with being a black woman, don't do it, because you expect to feel equal to black women, do it, because you feel that's who you know you are and its going to make you happy.  Most of all, never forget this fact, whether you see yourself as bi-racial or as a black woman you are still special in the eyes of God.

God bless you Lucille and thanks for reading SoulsofBlackWomen.com.  We hope we have been been able to somewhat help you.
