Celebrity NBA player, Roy Hibbert has been fined $75,000 for anti-gay comments. We cannot understand how he can be fined, after African Americans have had to deal with racial discrimination for many years and we have not had much respect as the gay community of today, allegedly. However, he did not just make anti-gay comments, he also allegedly criticized the media.
According to Bleacherreport.com, celebrity NBA player Hibbert apologized for his comments: I am apologizing for insensitive remarks made during the postgame press conference after our victory over Miami Saturday night. They were disrespectful and offensive and not a reflection of my personal views. I used a slang term that is not appropriate in any setting, private or public, and the language I used definitely has no place in a public forum, especially over live television. I apologize to those who I have offended, to our fans and to the Pacers’ organization. I sincerely have deep regret over my choice of words last night.
We are waiting on the entire nation of America to apologize to God for not obeying His biblical commandments, beloved sisters. If Jesus Christ got this much respect as the gay community, just think about how America would be, a righteous country full of Christians in political power. Of course, we do not agree with making rude comments to anyone, not even the gay community, but we are to honor God's commandments against all sin, including homosexuality.
Biblical Scriptures against Homosexuality
- 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
- Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."
- Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
- Romans 1:26-27 - "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."
