Does the Feminist Movement Belong to Black Women? | Souls of Black Women

When we think about the feminist movement, most of us black women cannot connect with it, because it seems to exclude women of color. Some of you who studied American history can recall a section that focused on the feminist movement. One of our journalists who watched a video in that history class recalls an Asian and Indian woman who admitted they could not connect with the feminist movement, because they felt it was for white women, only. Is that how the average black woman feels today, excluded from the feminist movement?
