Celebrity News: Magic Johnson's wife Cookie reveals fear after Erving's diagnosis

How many of you dear sisters are HIV positive or maybe you're afraid because doctor's have diagnosed you with full blown AIDS? Although some of us may not be diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, we need to be concerned about our sisters whom are married to spouses with the disease or maybe they've caught it, somehow. Sisters, this a discussion, we are so happy Mrs. Cookie Johnson has brought up while attending an awards dinner for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.  She allegedly shared how afraid she was when Erving 'Magic' Johnson first found out he was HIV positive.

After 20 years of Mrs. Johnson husband's diagnosis, Cookie revealed how the 'traumatic' news terrified her, not only for her own health but for that of her unborn baby, according to Mail Online.   At the awards dinner, she allegedly stated, 'The scariest part for me was not knowing if I had it,'  This is something we need to hear more often, coming from successful black women , because if we do not hear them speak, some others whom have contracted the disease from their spouses and lovers will not acknowledge influential sisters who understand their fear.  You see black women, we must admit, one of the main reasons why there is so much conflict and division among our sisters, is simply because too many black women of all classes may be afraid to share their personal stories.   The issue of AIDS killing our people is nothing new and it would help for you to not avoid the discussion, if another sister should bring it up.   However, Cookie Johnson seems to be a woman of courage and it is a good idea for many of us to take courage and help black women whom are very much afraid who may feel like an outcast in their families and even within the black church.

In the meantime, we will keep Cookie Johnson in our prayers and we are so happy, she shared her personal testimony to inspire others.

Sisters, some of you maybe diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.   We encourage you to put your trust in God and don't give up on your life.   In order for you to have faith and live on, God desires for you to live for Him.  If this is you, please go straight to our Salvation page and receive Jesus into your life.  It does not matter how you contracted the disease, God loves you and still wants you to be a part of His Kingdom.  God bless and welcome to the body of Christ.
