Black Women, Brenda Stokes Wilson, identified as the prime suspect in slaying of 10-Year-Old Girl

Sisters, we do not know what caused Brenda Stokes Wilson to go in a rage and use razor blades on a woman's face, then kill an innocent 10-year-old girl.  Whatever caused her to harm her co-worker and kill this young girl, Jade Morris, she must now go on trial and face either life in prison without parole or the death penalty.  We are out to have love and concern for all black women, but we must tell the truth; why pay for a french manicure and you don't have your heart right?

We want many of you black women to know something, 'do not ever have the audacity to get your nails or hair done and refuse to get your heart and soul right with God.'    This is the very reason why we refuse to talk about hair all the time and only post some hair articles here and then, at our sister site, Real Long Hair, it does not sense to read about growing your long hair and your evil in your heart.   Now, we love every last one of you, but the truth must be told, because too many black women have been doing this for years.  Now, Brenda Wilson french manicured nails will never do her any good in prison or on death row.

Brenda Stokes Wilson, 50, used razor blades to cut a woman's face, then she took Jade Morris Christmas shopping, killed her and threw her body in the bushes.    Wilson is the ex-fiance of Morris' father and according to NYDailyNews.com, she was very close to the little girl.  Morris mother (in the above photo) was kind enough to say, she thought Brenda loved her daughter. Sisters ask yourself, 'why would this 50 year-old woman attack a woman on her job?'  This is very sad, but it is a fact, if we cannot figure out, Jesus Christ is the only answer and the only way.

In the meantime, we will be praying for Brenda Stokes Wilson that she receives Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and for the family of Jade Morris.

May Jade Morris rest in peace, we know she is in a much better place.

As black women we know life can be very difficult, so hard, it seems like the world is against all of us.   However, Jesus is the only solution for any emotional pain we may endure.   We beg you to seek God and do not allow anything to stress you out so much, you just snap.  Love Jesus enough not to harm or kill anyone.   If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, please go straight to our Salvation page.  After you become a child of God, please watch the videos at SCR blog for spiritual strength.  God bless you and remain strong in Him. Welcome to the body of Christ.

Celebrity News: Allegedly, Private Investigator Says Whitney Houston was murdered, according to video

Now usually, we do not pay attention to any source coming from The National Enquirer, but we did not want to rule out any possibilities of Whitney Houston being murdered.   As we all know Whitney Houston had kicked her drug addiction, but of course, some people never wanted her to conquer it.    Allegedly, a source has leaked out that a private investigator has a video tape of some suspects going in and out of Whitney Houston's hotel room on the day of the celebrity's murder.

We all grieved after the death of Whitney Houston, because she touched our hearts with some of the most beautiful love songs.   On the morning of her death, many of us black women could not believe she was gone.   Yes, the King of Pop also died, just like many other great black celebrities, but for many us, the death of Whitney Houston was like a nightmare, because we admired her class and sophistication.  If this new evidence revealed the queen of love ballads was murdered, this is a victory for the Houston family and Whitney's fans.

According to RadarOnline.com, Paul Huebl  told The National Enquirer, the superstar singer’s killers are caught on tape. “I have evidence that points to Whitney being a victim of a high powered drug dealers who sent thugs to collect a huge debt she owed for drugs...” Allegedly, Huebl claims  the day before her death Whitney received a cocaine delivery but was later heard to say, “I’m tired of this sh*t.” The PI says she was referring to being tired of harassed to pay her drug debt, which had reached $1.5 million.  Also, according to the report, there are two unknown men who kept showing up at the Beverly Hilton, where Houston was staying, and blending in with her group of hangers on.  When the celebrity superstar was in her room alone for just 45 minutes,  that’s when one or both of the killers slipped into her room and were captured on surveillance video.  We are perplexed that there was an alleged struggle as this man claims, because the coroner's reports says there was no foul play.

We sincerely hope this is not just one of The National Enquirers fake stories and there is actual evidence that could bring out real facts about how the late celebrity, Whitney Houston died.

In the meantime, may Whitney Houston rest in peace and our prayers are with her family and friends.

Black women, why date a nice white man and then allow your siblings to harm or murder him?

Two siblings, brother and sister of a dead man's girlfriend and another teen allegedly murdered Michael Shull.  His body was found in the front yard of a stranger's home.  Now, there is no evidence the girlfriend is to blame for this murder neither has it been proven she helped the three accused teens murder her deaf boyfriend.    However, something suspiciously happened when he went to pick her up to go shopping, after she asked him to give her brother a ride.

We are not saying Shull's girlfriend necessarily had anything to do with his murder, but the question must be asked, why should any black woman date a nice white guy and then, allow him to be murdered by her relatives?  In other-wards, if we as black women are so fortunate to meet a nice white man, how could we allow him out of our sight or to be harmed in any way by anyone?   Now, according to WCNC.com, he met this girlfriend at the School for the Deaf.  Now, she may be hard of hearing like him, but the report did not say she was dumb.   When you watch this following video, you will hear Michael Shull's older brother admit no one liked her, as though she had a bad reputation.   So, there is a possibility, she was evil like her siblings, although she allegedly is deaf like the deceased victim.

According to WCNC.com, all three teens, Davonta Turner, 18, Ashley Owens, 19, and Aveance Bryant, 18, are charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Sisters, this is very sad news to hear.   Now, we are living in an age when there are eligible good white men who don't mind dating black women.  In this case, one is murdered and tossed on a stranger's property as though he is nothing.    The victim's family allegedly told WCNC.com his parents were worried how their son would make a good life for himself, because of his handicap, but he became a very successful automotive worker and they were very proud of him.   Respectively, if some of you black women are going to date white men whom possibly love you more than your kindred and treat you better than some black men, do not allow your relatives to misuse, abuse or kill him.   You should make your family respect him how you would want his family to respect you, which is the same with you, treat him how you want to be treated.   Some of you black women whom are dating white men must decide are you dating him for love or money, because if it is for love, it may last, if it because you just want material possessions, something very bad may occur.    As we heard in this report, Michael Shulls was very kind to his girlfriend and on the day of his murder, he picked her up to go shopping, but she got him to give her brother a ride.   Now, if the special man in your life is coming to pick you up to go shopping, do not be so weak to ask him to do anything for any of your friends of relatives, because he is coming to have a good time with you.  Let your family attend to their own business and find another way to get to their destination, not in your man's car.

In the meantime, we are praying for Michael Shull's family and may he rest in peace.

Sisters, are you dating a white man and you allow your family to misuse, abuse and you think they may possibly murder him?   If so, you need to ask God to make you a strong Godly woman, one who does not allow her man, whether he is white, black or any other race to be taken advantage of by your relatives.   Do not date a white man, because of what you can get out of him or for anyone else, but date them, because you feel God has connected you with a least one of them and it is for love.   Sisters, if you are not saved, please go straight to our Salvation page and receive Jesus Christ in your life.   God bless you.

Black women, how could Brooklyn teacher's aide tell 10 boys to beat up 6-year-old girl?

We are definitely living in a crazy era when we hear of a teacher's aide ordering 10 boys to beat up this 6-year-old girl, K’Mani Smith.  Kariska Smith allegedly claims no one did anything when she complained about what happened to her little girl. The teacher was a male, so this proves how much we as black women are hated, even when we are young girls.

Something is wrong for any school official to order 10 boys to beat up K'mani, we do not care if it had of been one boy punching her, it is crazy to do such a thing.   It is bad enough teachers across the nation are already getting in trouble for sexually abusing kids.   This guy needs to be charged with assault, although we agree with Kariska Smith for filing a lawsuit.   According to NYDailyNews.com, Smith says Ferrone Malone began dragging her daughter back to the classroom and the group of boys watching the action were “instigated and directed” by Malone to punch her, according to the civil complaint.   Isn't that just like back in slavery days, when all black people were beaten by their slave-masters?

We are powerful black women, we cannot continue to leave it up to school officials to handle their disputes, because evidently, they do not always do their jobs to discipline their employees.   For every problem within the school system that allows abuse against our young black girls like K'mani Smith, there should be an organization founded by black women to protect them.

In the meantime, we will pray for K'mani and her mother, Kariska Smith.  Also, we pray that she receives compensation she deserves when this case goes to court.

Celebrity News: Rihanna and Chris Brown Spent Christmas Together at Lakers Game

These two lovebirds, Chris and Rihanna were seen at a Lakers game for Christmas.   In our opinion, we think it is a positive thing for Rihanna to show an act of forgiveness, no matter how bad Chris hurt her in the past. For a lot of black women whom are so fortunate to have a black man in their lives, many of our sisters endure a lot of pain, in order to emotionally heal.

Of course, her behavior could seen as a negative thing repeated by most abused women.   However, she possibly sees a change in him and if Rihanna has hope for Chris Brown, it really does not make a difference what other people say who may oppose their ongoing friendship.

In the meantime, we will be praying for Rihanna, for God to lead and guide her.   Also, we pray for God to save she and Chris Brown.  May God bless both of them.

Black women, Former prosecutor wants Tawana Brawley to Pay $429,000

If you read our previous article, regarding the Louisiana black woman, Sharmeka Moffitt who was allegedly accused of faking her story that she was burned by white supremacists, you will recall us going back in time with the story of Tawana Brawley.   Now, we observed the two cases, because in our opinion, they both were identical.   Back in 1987, Tawana Brawley allegedly accused some police officers whom she claimed were white supremacists of raping her, smearing her naked body with feces and then, leaving her to die.   If she or Moffitt is using their allegations against alleged white supremacists to get attention, then they both need serious psychiatric treatment.

As black women, we all may have done or said things to get attention from our parents, but just to fake being raped and make headlines as being brutally attacked by police officers, is really absolutely insane  Is it possibly, Tawana Brawley or even Moffitt could have made up the story?   Absolutely, yes, we think it is a great possibility, they could be both liars whom feel they were deprived of getting attention of their parents.    It has repeatedly happened time and time again and it has nothing to do with being a black woman, there are all sorts of people whom will lie on other people to get attention.  Lying on who Brawley accused of being white supremacists could have caused a big divide within this country between whites and blacks.

Sisters, let us be smart and look at all the facts, investigators allegedly stated, there was no factual evidence of Tawana Brawley being raped.   Also, years ago on the Donahue show, Brawley's ex-boyfriend allegedly said she made the whole story up, because she did not like her step-father and she wanted to get attention from her mother.  Now, how many times have we heard this sort of mess.   It just does not happen in white families, spoiled kids doing or saying whatever they can to get attention, in black families it happens all the time.

At first, we did not believe Brawley nor Moffitt would go so far to lie, but now, because of lack of factual evidence, anything fabricated story is possible.   It is good to always tell the truth about how we feel and we are honest to admit, people do lie to get attention.

Black Women, Queens teacher writing children’s book on Superstorm Sandy

You know, a lot of time in order to become successful, it would be a good idea to take what is going on around us and use it to start a lucrative business.   When it comes to business, we are taught to sell what people need and this intelligent teacher from Queens has done so.   Author Marie Barret wrong an inspiring book for kids, "Sandy Can't Get Me Down."  In our opinion, she created these children's books to help these kids, not necessarily focused on money.

Sisters, look around you and what is going on in this nation.  As black women, what do you think you can change through a business idea?   What do you think you can create to help other people like Author Marie Barret is helping these young children who experienced Superstorm Sandy?  Many of you black women are very smart, you do not have to be a teacher like this author, but you could become a business woman, giving hope to other (black) women, children, or people in general whom are caught in disastrous situation.   This Queens teacher should inspire all of us to innovate something that will inspire people.  Barret created these children's books to take away fear of hurricanes, according to NyDailyNews.com.

Celebrity News: 10 Greatest Black Women in 2012 Married to or together with White Men

Greetings sisters, the Souls of Black Women blog would like to celebrate the 10 greatest black women in 2012 married to white men.   As you know, we have done too many previous reports  this year on murder-suicides among black couples (some black men killing black women), whether they were married or in a relationship.  It seems as though we black women were created for the white man to a certain extent.  Since we have been getting more insights about why some black women date white men, it is time to celebrate their freedom.

Too much resentment from black men in our families (or in general), whether they were our fathers, brothers, cousins or uncles has nearly crippled our spirits.  Too much rejection from many black men who do not think of us as beautiful has caused us much emotional distress. Therefore, it is time for us to also enjoy the revolution since one of our journalists has now opened her heart up to date white men, coming from a background of inconsiderate black men and the inconsiderate black women who cater to them while witnessing and supporting their disrespect toward her, most of her life.   Now, it is time for a celebration here at Souls of Black Women, giving the highest respect to 10 greatest black women in America who are happily married to their white men.  We may not be doing this so often, but it is certainly time for a change.

Update: Black women, reward in fatal shooting of mom Shalema Gaskin outside Brookdale Hospital

Sisters, we do not know if you live in the area of Brooklyn, but there is a $12,000 reward if you know who killed this 32-year-old single mom, Shalema Gaskin.  Now, as you know she was shot in the neck behind Brookdale Hospital.  If you are a regular reader of Souls of Black Women we thought possibly her death could have been a racial incident since President Obama's reelection, but we thought wrong, simply because, allegedly, police suspect the father of her child since there were domestic issues.

According to NYDailyNews.com, she purchased some items at a nearby store at 2:05 a. m. before her death and police are trying to find out what happened between the time she left there and returned back to the hospital. However, they think she was targeted since she was shot at close range. However during the time of her murder, the father of her child was by his daughter's bedside, but possibly, he set her up.   Whatever the case, police want to find her killer.

Many times, some black women know when some of our sisters are attacked by black men, but they do not care, because of envy and resentment. You know some black women have that bad, no matter how bad a sister is hurting they will protect a black man.  However, for those of you whom are concerned who killed Shalema Gaskin, if you know anything please call police.   Regardless of fear, just think it could be you.

In the meantime, we invite you to go straight to our salvation page, if you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.

Black women, my new man is white, an ex-homosexual like me, 'I Love Him'

Black women, we like to give thumbs up to our 45-year-old sister who finally found love, "Carol (fictitious name)".  She says after all these years, she met a man named "Cody (fictitious name)."  Carol says after all of the years of never conceiving a child and being badly mistreated by some black men, she fell in love with her blonde haired and blue eyed future hubby.   Carol, Souls of Black Women celebrate your love and yes, we can relate to your previous pain of enduring such persecution with some black men, whether they were the men in our families, sons of friends or ex-men in our lives.

Carol says she met her new soul mate while leaving a cafe in downtown Dallas.   She accidentally dropped her iPhone and Nook and while trying to pick them up, all of her books came out of her duffel bag.   She felt very embarrassed when glancing up at some customers when suddenly a white hand began picking up and handing her things to her.  She thanked him, but their eyes became very glued and as they both smiled.   Outside, when she placed her iPhone and Nook into her bag, she happened to notice him standing by her side.   He said, 'I'm sorry, I didn't get your name.'   After she replied, he asked her to join him for a cup of coffee, so she walked back inside the cafe and they began to get acquainted with one another.   The more they talked, the more time they spent in the cafe until it was evening time.   When Carol told him she was on the bus, he told her to hop in his Jaguar, but she disagreed to drive with him and enjoy the scenery of the countryside.  So, they exchanged phone numbers and began meeting for dates at various public fun places.  Carol said she had never experienced such good times, it had been about 15 years since she went out on a date and it was never with one man.  Although, she always wanted to be in love again, she never expected it would come through Cody.  She and Cody have been dating for about 6 months now and seriously talking marriage.   Although, she has no kids, Cody has two grown kids from his former marriage. She says this is the next phase of their relationship, to meet his extended family and she is very scared of their reaction, even in this day of many bi-racial couples.   However, Carol says she is very happy and never experienced such happiness when she was dating black men, many years ago.  Even in this time of her life, the old culture of some black women catering to black men who mistreats her continues.

What is so unique about Cody is that he shares a similar past with Carol, he is an ex-gay man, no longer attracted to the same sex.   The only problem is, some of his friends from the homosexual community try to still share his time, although he tries to avoid them.   Carol does not let it bother her, because she sees how he tells them, she is the woman in his life and he no longer wants to spend time with them.   So, Cody puts Carol first and they know she is very special in his life.   You see, this is how we as black women were supposed to be treated by black men, but in most cases, it never worked out that way.   This white man is very unique, because he is not just an ex-gay individual, but he is a perfect gentleman, he opens to door for Carol, each and every time she gets in and out of his car.   He opens the door to his home and waits for her to enter first.  She answers his phone in his house as though she is already Mrs. Smith (fictitious name).  He got on one knee and asked her to be his wife.  Carol saw her half-brothers getting married, but she was never able to be blessed with a good man and whenever a black man proposed to her, it is was never the traditional way.  So, she remained single until now.

Carol, this love story is a dream come true for you and as black women we can understand what it is like to be mistreated by some black men and not get enough love from within our race even within our families.  Therefore, we want to congratulate you and think your future with Cody is going to be very good.   We do not feel you should fear meeting his extended family, if anything pray before you meet them and just take one step at a time.   Although, our nation is more diverse now, we acknowledge there are still racial issues we must deal with, but the key is Cody being willing to keep your love strong during those difficult times.   That is the key, as a white man is he willing to understand what you as a black woman endures dealing with racial discrimination? We deeply feel he will be there for you.   As for his former gay friends from the homosexual community, we are so grateful you do not fear their communication with him, because he has proven he no longer wants to associate with them, so you have nothing to worry about there.   Furthermore, the fact that you are an ex-lesbian woman and he is an ex-gay man shows how strong your love is and this is why the two of you were meant to be together. Like Mark 10:9 says,  'What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.'

The journalists of Souls of Black Women wish you the best in your new relationship with Cody and may you have a very strong marriage in the future.  God bless you both.

Why some Beauticians are very mad at black women are growing their own hair, naturally

About two months ago, we spotted a You Tube video of an angry beautician trying to discourage black women not to grow their own hair, naturally.  She was mad and fired up, because she is possibly losing a lot of business.   Since the early 80's many hair stylists have been making money by giving perms and relaxers, it was no more using the hot combs.  It became very popular for hair stylists to process a black woman's hair on a bi-weekly basis, so she could have it straightened for about 3 months.  Now, the culture has changed and many black women are learning they can grow their natural hair without spending money at the beauty salon.

Back in the early days, in our teens our mothers were tired of straightening our hair for special occasions and plaiting it everyday when we were young girls, so these beauticians in the black community became very wealthy.  Too bad for them, those days are over.

We want to encourage you sisters not to listen to those beauticians whom are trying to get you to continue processing your hair, for it is better to care for your own hair and grow it naturally.   Many of these hair stylists are losing money not just because of the recession, but many black women are wising up and saving a lot of money during this recession.   Therefore, do not feel so sorry for them, you will believe their lies and not enjoy the benefits of growing your own hair.

This one unidentified hair stylist who was so angry on this video, she told a lie when she claimed your hair will grow just the same, using relaxers and perms. Of course, we know the revolution of growing our own natural hair is not helping them during this recession, especially when a lot of our sisters already do not have money to visit their salons; however, we must care about ourselves more than their businesses closing.   If this hair stylist and others really cared about us, then they would be glad we have finally found a way to grow our hair much longer and even faster.  Thank God for the internet and our communication with various black women sharing what they know or else we would be stuck back in time, still spending money to pay for our hair to be chemically treated and even weaved.  However, we do feel sorry for all of those black women whom are still working for corporate America and a part of the celebrity elite, because they have to satisfy their superiors who give them a paycheck and that often means changing your look to blend with the women of European descent.  Those of us whom have jobs where we are not around a lot of white people and other races whom would question our natural beauty are very blessed and we should thank God for it.  Therefore, do not be a follower of all those miserable black women who believe the lie that your hair will eventually grow the same length and in the same amount of time, if you relax or perm it.   Of course, there a some black women who have grown long hair, although it has been permed, but-there are others whom have not been so fortunate and the chemicals is not good for their hair and could cause Fibroid Tumors, which is a danger for all of us, according to blacklikemoi.com and aje.oxfordjournals.org.  For many of us black women, our hair is not and never was equipped to be chemically processed, because it is a very special type of hair God gave us.  Therefore, this is why many of us should never go back to chemically processing our hair, because it will never reach its' potential to grow at a very long length.

There is a history behind perms and relaxers taking our natural pride.  Just think about all those years when many of us African American women could have been enjoying our own long hair, but we were robbed when our race begin to diverse with Europeans back in the early 1980's.  This time period was after the civil rights movement had died and the black panther party was no more active across America.  If we wore our natural hair, we were judged as being militant.  Many black people no longer want to be identified with who God created them to be. They idolized celebrities who began to have cosmetic surgeries to change their features and even chemically process their hair.  Yes, diversity is a good thing, but only to a certain extent, because too much of it has destroyed our freedom of being who we are as black people and loving ourselves.  In this age of the 21st century, now many of us have realized how beautiful our natural hair is and how God never intended for us to be robbed of enjoying growing our kinky and woolish hair, very similar to His Son, Jesus Christ as the Bible says in Revelation 1:14'His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire...'

We are a witness, your hair is more healthy when you stop processing it.   There are so many natural remedies to cure damaged hair and many of them can be bought out of your nearest grocery store or found in your kitchen, if you already have it.  This is the secret that is helping many of us to grow our own hair without chemicals and much faster, it is the natural herbs God created from the beginning of time.

Black women, Nigerian wife informs police husband was going to 'blow up plane' could be charged for making up story

Sisters, this Nigerian wife, Eunice Ukaegbu, a New Jersey nurse informed police her husband was going to blow up a plane.  The couple had an argument over Okieze Ukaegbu, taking a trip without her, so she allegedly made him out to be a terrorist.   Often times, as black women we do not like our men in our lives excluding us, we like for them to be with us most of the time, especially when they are going to another state or out of the country.  However, it is very wrong to lie and by calling law enforcement on her husband, Eunice possibly made her situation much worse.

Often times, when our husbands choose to travel without us, it could mean he is doing something behind our backs like having an affair, but it is not always the case.   Therefore, Okieze Ukaegbu could have been planning a surprise for his wife and did not want her to know what he was bringing back or possibly, he was making a business deal that could have made them very rich.  He could have been leaving town for any reason.  When your man wants to travel without you, the best thing to do is wait until he returns and if there is no evidence of him doing something to surprise you with a gift, then it is time to discuss his discreet affairs.   Now, we are not saying Eunice accused her husband of anything, the Mail Online article just allegedly mentioned there was a fight, because he was leaving town without her.  So, we do not know the root cause of why she insinuated her husband was going to blow up a plane.   Obviously, Eunice knows her husband best and may not trust him to travel without her, but police does not believe her story.

One of the best traits we need to possess as black women is to be totally honest, we should not lie and set our husbands our boyfriends up when we feel they are not including us in their lives.  The only solution would be to let him go and start our lives over, because we as strong black women do not have time for games.

Hopefully, this Nigerian wife, Eunice will not be charged for making up this story and we pray she has learned from her mistake that lying is not good.

Enraged wife calls police and says husband is going to 'blow up plane' after pair had fight

By Daily Mail Reporter

A New Jersey man was grabbed by police at Newark Airport yesterday after police were tipped off that he planned to 'blow up' a Delta Airlines flight to Paris.

But authorities now believe that the information, that came from the suspect's wife, was a false accusation following nothing more than a domestic dispute.

The New York Post reports that Eunice Ukaegbu, 50, rang police on Okieze Ukaegbu, 58, because the couple had just had a big fight and...Read full article, here.

Black Women, Missouri Cafeteria worker fired after giving free lunches has been rehired

Dianne Brame, a cafeteria worker who once lost her job for giving free lunches to a fourth grader who was no longer eligible has been rehired.  The child's lunch was reduced, but Brame has such a tender heart, she gave him what the usual meal.  What's was wrong with her consideration for this child?

How many of you black women know what it is like to be hungry and not be able to afford to feed your child?   Many of us can relate not only to homelessness, but also lack money to feed ourselves.  Therefore, we can understand how Dianne Brame could give this child an equal meal to the rest of the kids, regardless of the rules.  According to NY Daily News, she was giving this child a whole free lunch for two months and if she had not got caught, we feel she would have continued to be considerate and God knows her heart and will bless her for her kindness.  Yes, it is very wrong to steal and if Diane Brame could have afforded to feed this child out of her own kitchen, we know she would have done so.

By being kind to this child, Dianne Brame has already set a positive example for the child to always remember how she cared about him.  We suppose this is why God blessed her to be rehired as a cafeteria worker.  May God bless this woman for her kindness and generosity.  In the meantime, we will keep her in our prayers.

Newlywed found guilty of killing husband near Varsity: Black women, no man is worth losing our freedom

We want to start this article by encouraging you sisters not to take matters into your own hands when a man disrespects you.  Taking a human life is not worth you losing your freedom and his (or her) soul is very valuable to God, regardless of how much he (or she) may have hurt you.   Arelisha Bridges, 45, who murdered her 26-year-old husband back in 2010 has been found guilty and now will serve life in prison.   The newlyweds were only married 6 days.

Why do we think this newlywed, Bridges killed her younger husband, Anthony Rankins?  There is no excuse for it, but obviously this woman has had some deep past issues that built up over the years.  Possibly, Rankins did or said something to make her feel very low.   Some black men in our past, whether they were our fathers, brothers, uncles, cousins or even ex-boyfriends have violated us very bad.  Therefore, we feel this could be the case with Arelisha Bridges.  She may have gotten to a point when she was tired of rude men offending her in many ways while noticing some black women yet putting them upon a pedestal.  It is so wrong to kill anyone and whenever some of our sisters feel as though they have had enough of the disrespect, they must learn to seek God.  For this reason, the culture within the black race is going to remain the way it is until Jesus comes, the way some black women idolize abusive men among African Americans gives them the power to dog us.    Although that is the way it is, it is wrong to kill anyone and God is not happy with murder as it says in Exodus 20:13, 'Thou Shall Not Kill.'  That is a commandment and regardless of how some men may disrespect us, we do not have the authority to take their lives.

Sisters, do you feel so stressed out after your husband, a man in your family or in your neighborhood has done or said anything to make you feel less than the woman you are?  Do you feel as though you could kill?   If so, we want to pray for you right now.

Father in the name of Jesus, we come before you right now, thanking you for another day.  We thank you for being so gentle to us, when some black men have failed us.  You loved us when our father disowned us, you loved us when that ex-boyfriend or ex-husband dumped us for another woman and you loved and embraced us when our mothers loved our abusive brothers much more than us.  Some black men who have hurt us very bad have been our fathers, brothers, cousins, uncles, sons, ex-boyfriends, ex-husbands and even some men in our neighborhood.   We have been mistreated so bad by them, some of our dear sisters feel as though they are not beautiful.  Lord God, we ask you to heal the race of black women, for our sisters' emotions are so damaged, they do not mind taking a human life.  God heal the minds and spirits of wounded black women right now, send the murdering demon back to the pit of hell where it came from.  Heal our dear sisters right now and we bring our dear sister, Arelisha Bridges to you, asking you to heal her while she is now serving a life sentence.   Let her know you love her, regardless of how bad she has been mistreated.  Let Arelisha know, it is time for her to repent and seek you, even though she has been convicted of taking a man's life.   Be with her and all of the other black women across America and abroad whom are fed up with being emotionally, verbally and physically abused by some men whom are yet catered to by some inconsiderate black women.   Father we praise you and give all of our burdens and cares to you.  For you said in I Peter 5:7 and Psalm 55:2 to 'cast our cares on you, for you care for us.'   We want to end this prayer praising you for what you have already done in our lives, in your precious name, Jesus.  Amen.

Now for all of you dear sisters whom are not saved and you desire to be a child of God, we want you to humble yourself and allow Jesus to abide in you.   Some of you do not know how to leave the past behind, because there is an abusive male in the present life right now that reminds you of some cruel men in your past.  If this is you and you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, please go straight to our salvation page, now.  May God bless and keep you strong and welcome to the body of Christ.
