Celebrity News: NFL Linebacker Jovan Belcher's Commits Murder-Suicide, Killing Girlfriend Then Self

Sisters, at the end of the year, this is another case among several others we just don't want to hear about, murder-suicides that took the lives of black women.   Of course, we also care about the life of the NFL linebacker, Jovan Belcher, we just wonder what can be done to stop the murder-suicides that taking the lives of our sisters, simply because it is hard to get our sisters and brothers to even date each other in the first place.  Also, the population among African Americans is very low, compared to previous years, due to the cases of abortion, AIDS, crime and other fatal situations.   This is extremely sad Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend, Kasandra M. Perkins, then went to the stadium thanked his coaches, then killed himself in front of them.  According to, Belcher's Mom had just moved into the home to help with her grandchild.   She is the one who called 911, after overhearing the couple arguing about something.

According to police, Jovan Belcher thanked coach Romeo Crennel and general manager Scott Pioli before shooting himself in their presence at the team’s practice facility adjacent to the stadium.  What could have been said during the argument that caused Jovan Belcher to commit a murder-suicide?  It sort of reminds us of other other previous cases we have heard throughout this year, including the mysterious case involving the hip-hop mogul, Chris Lighty, although it was not a murder-suicide, neighbors still overheard him allegedly arguing with his wife before he was shot to death.   As christian black women, we must pray for God to give more love and peace among black couples, because it is the Devil's job to take our people out before their time.  Now, Belcher's baby does not have a Dad or Mom, although the grandmother is taking custody.

The sad thing about this case, is that it reminds of a lot of rich celebrities whom commit suicide and murder-suicide and leave there wealth behind.   Just look at that Benteey, no amount of money could ever take away Belcher's pain.  Wealth is not worth it, if we are not happy.  For the rest of you, we want to encourage you to serve Jesus, no matter how bad things may seem.  Often times, we as black women hurt just like black men whom try so hard to please the other person in a relationship.  Each and ever last one of us must learn how to love Jesus more than the other person.
Sisters, it would be very selfish for the Kansas City Chiefs to play against the Panthers, although the Mayor allegedly insinuated the game should go on for the fans within city, according to we beg to differ with him.  Thank God, according to Chicago Tribune the team decided not to play today, which sounds very considerate and a wise decision, because it is respect for the dead.

In the meantime, we will be praying for the family of this beloved young black couple, Jovan Belcher and his girlfriend, Kasandra M. Perkins.

If any of you sisters would like to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, we invite you to go straight to our Salvation page.  God bless you and welcome to the body of Christ.
