Celebrity News: Jovan Belcher's mother allegedly claims son was upset with girlfriend about paternity

Sisters, this is an update regarding Jovan Belcher's murder-suicide.   The news is out about what was possibly said during the heated argument with his girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins.  Cheryl Shepard, Belcher's mother informed police her son argued about paternity of their 11-week old daughter, Zoey, according to USA Today.  It is not easy, but we wish he would have just broke the relationship, anything is better than committing a murder-suicide.

If this is true, we wonder was there a paternity test?   Whether Jovan Belcher knew if Zoey was his or not, it really is a sad situation.  Why was he so upset, if he did not know for sure?  If course, we have watched all of those previous Judge Hatchett shows that revealed some black women fooling the men in their lives, after they have helped raised the child for so long, then there were some cases where some women purposely told a lie to make him mad and they discovered he was actually the father.  However, the majority of the shows, we recall Judge Hatchett opening the envelope and blurting out, 'this is not this child's father!'   Either way, this is what causes a lot of black men to become enraged with black women, not excusing his murder-suicide, but this is an old issue that has been going on for too long.

According to the New York Post, Belcher's mother had nothing to say to reporters when asked about the paternity, it could be because she does not want to risk losing the million dollar donation that is being given to help raise baby Zoey.   For if there was evidence the baby is not Jovan's, then the Kansas Chiefs could be so cold to hold back on donations.   However, it may not be necessary to know for sure and maybe irrelevant, because two lives are gone and baby Zoey are without her parents.   The issue is, Jovan was so upset, he did not even think to just break off the relationship and start his life over.

There used to be a time when we did not hear of so many murder-suicide and homicide cases among celebrities, but we believe it has much to do with spirituality. The root causes of so many tragedies among celebrities of any race has a lot to do with where they are in Christ, although we are not specifically judging the life of the late NFL linebacker, Jovan Belcher.

We encourage all of you black women to be honest in your relationships.  Of course, we do not know the situation of Belcher's girlfriend having a baby by another man, but for the rest of you whom are yet living, please do right and do not have babies on the man in your life.   We encourage you to remain faithful and if you should desire to be with another man, be mature and just break off the relationship.  Be fair and allow the man who is not the father of your child to be free with someone else.

May Jovan Belcher and Kasandra Perkins rest in peace.  In the meantime, we will be praying for Zoey and her grandmother.
