Sisters, we think it is so wonderful to see Robin Roberts finally leaving the hospital. She may have had to lose some hair, but-she has not lost her faith. Robin Roberts is such an amazing soul as she danced and sang, 'Amen,' while rejoicing with hospital nurses about being able to go home.
As black women, we endure so much pain and Robin Roberts testimony really should encourage each and every last one of us to never lose faith in God. She lost her mother, right before going into the hospital and then had to return for her operation, so she would receive a transplant from her sister. She is a strong sister, because it is Jesus Christ abiding in her who gave her unwavering faith. You see, you can't doubt Him, you have trust and believe He will help you defeat any test or trial in your life. God works miracles and never has stopped performing them, it is many people of today whom doubt Him. In Hebrews 11:6, the Bible says, 'But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.' Maybe you are not going through a bone morrow operation, but you are going through some sort of cancer like breast cancer, AIDS, colon cancer, leukemia, we do not care what it is, God is willing and able to heal and deliver you.
You know, one of the most important things for you all to realize is this very fact, many of us have lost faith in God, at some point in our lives, simply because we as black women have faced so much persecution for being who God created us to be. We do not just feel that ignorant evil from white supremacists, but we feel it from our very own race, the ones whom recall how our ancestors were once in enslaved in America . Sisters, no matter the prejudice, please recognize God is real and when you face your diagnosis, it is the Devil's job for you to think God does not exist or He does not love us, because we are black women. Read this very clear, God loves all black women, just like He loves every other race and He has not left us out of His plan for longevity, good health and success. So be inspired from Robin Roberts' personal situation and always have faith in God. Sing on like our dear sister and know God is in control of your life.
