Some motels in Charlotte jack up rates during DNC, forcing homeless families out

This 26-year-old mother, Lakia Ramsey and her two children were pushed out of a motel, so they could rake up the prices for the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.  Allegedly, she felt as though they threw her out like trash.  However, this is how owners of cheap motels have always acted toward the poor and needy.  In some cases, whites and other races have received preferential treatment over the blacks, which is racial discrimination.  It's such a shame many black women whom are poor are not just discriminated because of their race, but also because of their lack of income.

In the meantime, we will be praying for Lakia Ramsey and her two children.  We pray for God to financially bless our sister so she will not have to feel mistreated by these motel owners who are out just to make money.
