Errika Dominique Shelton was on a high speed chase on Monday morning, which allegedly caused her daughter to eject from her SUV that turned over in the crash. To our understanding, Erika allegedly demanded her daughter, Queniya Shelton to toss drugs out of the window as she drove about 100 miles an hour. According to Bossip, after the crash family and friends lied to police and told them Queniya was Errika's niece, but eventually investigators discovered she was her daughter. This did not have to occur, but when one chooses to do wrong, police cannot stop doing their job.
Now, while watching the second video, Errika's mother, Trena Rice blames police for not stopping the chase, but the police did not know the child was in the car, all they know is they saw her following too close to cars, changing lanes and driving 100 miles per hour. Errika knew her child was in the car, including the drugs that should not have been in her possession. Another thing, Errika's mother is angry, allegedly blaming the police for admitting Errika told her daughter to throw out the drugs. Now, we are sure they could tell what side of the vehicle the drugs were being thrown from during the chase. There is no way Errika could have reached around and thrown the drugs out herself while speeding and trying to get away from police. The police have a job to do and that is, to catch criminals whom are breaking the law and they came up with about 6 charges against Erika Shelton: failure to stop for blue light resulting in death, driving under suspension third and subsequent, unlawful neglect of a child, reckless driving, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and habitual traffic offender.
Sisters, you are too good to be selling drugs or even put your children in danger while you are trying to avoid getting caught doing wrong. Make a wise choice and serve God. No matter how hard life gets, do not sell drugs or sell your body, if you have been following The Souls of Black Women blog, you see where it gets you, either dead or in jail. In this case, Erika Shelton high speed chase caused her child's death and this is the consequence she must face for the rest of her life. She has to accept the fact she did wrong and it placed her child in danger, in our opinion.
Trena Rice malicious reaction is the typical attitude of a lot of African Americans, they complain about how unfair the cops are in arresting black criminals, but they do not admit they were wrong. Ladies, you cannot continue to go on in life making excuses and pointing the finger at the police officers whom are just out doing their job. Many of these police officers lives are at risk, because they are trying to do right and keep criminals off the street and if you or your child chooses to do wrong, it is your own fault. Therefore, we as black women must accept responsibility for making wrong choices in life.. God wants us to be honest, but if not, there is no other way He can make our lives better. In order to become better women, we must admit when we are wrong and change our ways. Sisters, if you continue to have that sort of mentality of always blaming someone else for doing their job when you were wrong, you will have to eventually face judgement. When you die, God is going to ask you why didn't accept responsibility for errors you caused in your life and if you should spend eternity in hell, it will be your own fault, because you chose to live your life the way you wanted to live it.
This 7-year-old girl, Queniya is not dead. She is in a better place with Jesus Christ up in heaven, eternally. When you listened to Bishop Earthquake Kelley's testimony at SCR, you will hear him share how Jesus has groups of children up in heaven and many times they are there, because of their mothers and fathers wicked ways. He loves Queniya more than her own mother who chose to allegedly put her child at risk on a high speed chase with illegal drugs in the SUV. This is what Jesus will do, He will take our children and eternally care for them, so much better than many mothers and fathers on this earth. Now Queniya does not ever have to suffer again nor ever being afraid of what may happen to her or her mother. Jesus is going to love and care for her so much better.
Queniya Shelton was a straight A student and wanted to be a doctor or an engineer. May God rest her soul.
Sisters, if you are selling drugs or even your body, you need Jesus to come into your life and set you free. We know it is hard to find a job and many times they do not pay much, but being alive with less money is so much better than being dead because of all the illegal money you made. It is time for you to make a wise decision and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Would you like Jesus to come into your life?
